Analiza secures new ENAC accreditation

Analiza obtains ISO 15189 accreditation for laboratory at Hospital HLA El Ángel.

Increase in number of European countries where accreditation is mandatory for clinical laboratories.

Although in Spain the option of accreditation is voluntary for public and private clinical testing laboratories, Analiza has gone the extra step further with its commitment to quality and its laboratory at the Hospital HLA El Ángel in Málaga has secured UNE-EN ISO 15189 accreditation from the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC, in its Spanish acronym), an international standard exclusively for clinical laboratories. This standard has evaluated competences both at a management and a technical level in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of fifty-six clinical biochemistry tests.

This accreditation for the Analiza laboratory, according to the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 15189 standard, responds to a desire to optimise care for all parties involved in the clinical process. What’s more, the company is keen to generate confidence in the reports and results of clinical tests, as patients are guaranteed an excellent level of quality and clinical doctors are guaranteed that the reports issued by the accredited laboratory are completely reliable.

Analiza, in its ongoing commitment to quality, has recently renewed ISO 9001:2015 certification at eleven of its laboratories, as accredited by the Bureau Veritas agency.

The laboratory at the Hospital HLA El Ángel covers twenty-five screening points in the province of Málaga, treating more than 100,000 patients and analysing over 1,100,000 tests in 2018.

Analiza also manages the laboratory of the Puerto Banús (Marbella) clinic of the Hospital Helicópteros Sanitarios, which in 2018 treated 1,334 patients and carried out more than 14,000 tests.

Driven by its ongoing quest for improvement and its commitment to innovation, Analiza boasts an ambitious technological innovation project in Málaga for the 2018-2019 period. With the help of first-rate technology partners, Analiza hopes to complete the expansion project of the Hospital HLA El Ángel laboratory with the installation of the ground-breaking Atellica system by Siemens Healthineers, allowing it to carry out studies on biochemical and immunochemical parameters.
