Finalidad:
This test is requested to detect the presence of bacterias, vitus, parasites, antigens o toxins of the most common
that cause diarrhoea and digestive symptoms in children and young adults.

Preparación:
In general, no preparation is required, unless otherwise instructed by the prescribing physician.
Procedimiento:
- You will need a sealable faeces collection bottle, available from pharmacies.
- The stool should be placed in a wide-mouthed container such as a bedpan. It does not need to be sterile, only clean and well rinsed (free of soap, detergents and disinfectants).
- Carefully transfer a quantity of faeces equivalent to the size of 2 walnuts if the stool is solid; the stool is liquid do not fill more than half of the collection container.
- Avoid contamination with urine, toilet paper, water, etc.
- Take the sample to the laboratory as soon as possible, in the meantime, you can keep the sample at room temperature.
