The insurance company ASISA, the diagnostic company Analiza and the HLA Montpellier Hospital in Saragossa have presented the annual awards recognising the academic excellence of health professionals trained at the University of Saragossa (UNIZAR).
These awards were presented at special ceremony held at the headquarters of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Saragossa (RAMZ), in the presence of the president of this institution, Luis Miguel Tobajas, and the other members of its Board of Directors, as well as academics and sponsors, with the obvious restrictions on attendance due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the best doctoral thesis
The Analiza & Montpellier Laboratory Award, with a 1,000 Euro prize, which recognises the best doctoral thesis that has received the ‘honorary mention’ qualification defended at the Faculty of Medicine of the UNIZAR during the previous academic year, and presented at the RAMZ Secretary’s Office, was awarded to Dr. Jorge Rubio.
The ASISA Award, also with a 1,000 Euro prize, went to Dr Daniel Pérez, who was a student at the aforementioned university and who obtained the best result in the 2020 Resident Internal Medicine (MIR) entrance exam to begin his specialist training.
At the same ceremony, the following prizes were also awarded: the 2020 Royal Academy of Medicine of Saragossa Award for an open topic on Medical Sciences, the 2020 National Health Insurance Award for ‘Humanitarian Sensitivity in Medical Practice’, the 2020 His Excellency Rafael Gómez Lus Award for the best national paper on Microbiology and the 2020 CAI Award for Professional Merit.
